I am teaching myself how to play the Violin. I also paint in oils, mostly African art and Modern art. I also make African Tribal Masks. I was diagnosed Christmas 2006 with degenerative bone disease and degenerative disc disease in my spine and I now have to use a crutch to get about. As a result of this I decided to start blogging as I now have a little more time to do so. My blog is not about one thing in particular but just me and my life and about my thoughts and my experiences and my highs and my lows. I love Astronomy and wish I could study it for real. I have also studied Economics and Ancient History. I am short sighted in one eye and long sighted in the other. When I was a baby I fell into a fire and have a huge scar on my forehead. I also have a scar on my left cheek and don’t know how it got there. My spine is progressively eroding and I have lost one disc completely and I could end up in a wheel chair. I have tried drugs in my life including pot, ecstasy and cocaine and K and would not recommend it to anyone but I wanted to try it to see what it was like. I laugh like a hyena in my sleep. I am a very good, trusting and loyal friend once you get to know me. I can’t stand arrogance, lies, over familiarity, bad manners, and two faced back stabbers.
I can be very opinionated but my heart is in the right place. Not everybody will like or indeed agree with everything on my blog but like everyone also, I am entitled to my opinions and that doesn’t make me right or wrong either but its just how I feel. But one thing you will always get is the truth as I cant stand lies or deceit. Places I want to visit are Egypt, The United States, Japan and Canada. I am very honest and have a really huge heart. I rely a lot on my gut feelings and they usually serve me very well. I have no regrets in my life only a few bad memories. The happiest time of my life is probably now as I like my life just how it is apart from the problems with my spine. I enjoy making new friends from all over the world. Charities I choose to support are for HIV, RSPCA, Cancer Research and The Homeless. I am a big kid at heart and I am very happy with that. Eiain, my other half thinks I am a bit of an eccentric and maybe I am. It is probably because I am a bit of a loon really and I just like really silly humour. I have met a lot of really nice people through blogging. I find that blogging is a good way to say what you want to the world or to learn about other things happening in the world and to see what others have to say about it too. I don’t mean to offend anyone by things that I say here on my blog but I say them for reasons that may be personal to me or just calling it how I see it at the time but by all means share your opinions with me as they will be very welcome too. I would really like to move back to Ireland soon with Eiain to be closer to my family. I love the Irish way of life and I miss it so much. I cant stand rudeness in any way as good manners say a lot about others. My whole life with Eiain would be nothing if he was not part of it. He is my lover, my friend, my right arm, my heart and soul and my everything. He comes first in my life and always will do. There is so much more to add to this list which I will do as this journey continues.

Your about me makes a great reading. Sorry for your spine thing but at the same time would like to congratulate you for your rare and precious view of life.
Wish you happiness and luck.
The new (?) photos are beautiful. Who’s the talented photographer? Keep up the brilliant, inspiring work with your blog.
@DTaylor I have to admit Im the photographer. Glad you liked them, but I do have a mighty fine subject to photograph.
It’s always good to receive some feedback and to know these words aren’t simply entering a void; thanks. Keep up the good work. Happy Easter too.
@DTaylor happy Easter to you too buddy! Dont be eating too much chocolate! lol
Funnily enough, I have plans to hit the gym (for the record: running, cycling, no weights) later today… but it’s toast that’s my ‘dietary downfall’. Hoping the start of the Easter week-end finds you well.
mmm I love toast also. I eat tons of it!
What a great read! You seem to have a good outlook on life despite what it has sent your way. Very inspiring.
Those pictures of you are fabulous.
@Rahul @cheeky @DTaylor thank you all very much, it is very very nice of you to give such nice and positive comments, once again, thank you
Hi there……
Just wanted to thank you for your post on my http://www.ourgaylives.com blog. I always love to hear different peoples’ points of view ESPECIALLY folks from outside the U.S. So please….keep commenting away. Your opinion is always welcomed (hey, I tend to be opinionated too lol so it’s ok.)
A lot of what you say about yourself I feel is true of me also…heart in the right place, partner says your “eccentric” lol but uhhh I tend to agree with you when you say you just think you’re a bit of a loon! I definitely have my moments, that’s for sure.
Anyway…..wondering how the lives of gays and lesbians are where you were born and raised in Northern Ireland and how they are either the same, better or in different in regard to where you are living now in England.
Since, I imagine you’re on the Net alot, I’m sure you may see what’s going on in the U.S. from time to time in regards to gays and lesbians and I’m curious as to how where you have and do live compares to the U.S.
Thanks again for the post! Truly appreciate it. I’ll be keeping an eye on you now
Have an awesome day!
-Carey from http://www.ourgaylives.com and http://www.gay-marriage-guide.com
Hey, guy. I’m to be in Nottingham, which is clearly a good distance from Liverpool, but figure I can jump a train out that way for a day or two if you’d like to meet. I’m all about exploring different parts of England while I’m there and I’m sure my hostess wouldn’t mind a couple of my 10 days not being on her shoulders! Let me know what you think!
Thanks for the comment on my blog. Glad to know someone’s looking at it!
Be well,
Darren
Wow! Nice to meet you on Twitter, and to learn more about you here.
@fogbear and you too buddy, welcome to planet Romach, will be nice to get to know you too
Hi Romach,
I followed a comment you made on another blog - and it led me to your blog. As soon as I saw the pic of the Queen picking her nose - I knew I would like you (we share the same type of humour).
Sorry about the degenerative bone disease - life sucks sometimes. Bur as a survivor of cancer myself (chondrosarcoma, a rare type of primary bone cancer) who walks with a limp - you might like to share this with me:
“he who limps is still walking!”
Stay well, be happy and keep smiling. Walking with a stick can be quite sexy anyway (so my husband tells me when I’m having a bad day!)
I’ll be in Nottingham staring the 29th and will be there most of the time until the 7th of June.
I did read about your medical issues. I’d still love to meet you. I’m a massage therapist and while I wouldn’t work on your back I could do a lot with your feet and some essential oils that might help.
Let me know.
Blessings,
Darren
Just wanted to drop a line and thanks for both the add-back on Twitter, and for lettin’ a Mutt into your world a bit. You seem like a good guy, and hopefully I’ll get to see more of you (take it however you like *winks*)
@Kentuckymutt ahhh thanks buddy its really nice getting to know you too and I look forward to getting to know you more too, your one lovely guy and lovely guys are alwasy welcome on Planet Romach
Hello Romach. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with us via your blog. It is so good to connect with people of a positive spirit and outlook about life. This is my first visit, I followed you here from Author. I’ll be checking out some of your posts - as you sound like a down to earth, although celestial being. Peace, Light and Love to you and yours. . . . Cordieb.
@cordieb hey thank you for dropping bye. I just like all things astronomy lol I will be paying you a visit shortly too if thats ok.
I just found your blog and loved it. It is just a great perspective to read about! Keep it up!
@sammy25 Hey Sammy thank you! I happy you enjoy it!
Just arrived here today and I will certainly be back. You have a great writing style and a compelling story to tell.
@ewe Hi there and thank you so much for stopping by. Hope to see you here again soon and I will also check that blog out you mentioned. See you soon.
Wow.. Came across your blog.. Very well done and your blog is very interesting to read. Thanks for sharing your life with the world.. Eager to read more..
You should read the latest on my Iris post now - almost 100 comments! The God Squadders started a flame war!
I should be able to start contributing properly to your blog, now that my home broadband has recovered!
@ Cosmodaddy OMG I have just been reading through it all. And I just had to leave another comment. I could not fucking believe what I was reading. Absolute madness!
Your blog is cool. Sorry about your condition. Keep it up, man.
Lovely site. I’m “favouriting” it to scan it further another day.
@Michael @scoundrel thanks guys, I hope you enjoy your visits here
I just spent a good amount of time reading your blog. Older posts, etc. First, I was looking for the pic of your hotness with that dyson vacuum to show Jay but could not find it. Looks like you took it off but we both enjoyed looking at other pics of you.
It sometimes puzzles me how there are people that I have met on the internet that are so wonderful and terrific I feel like I love them. You are one of those people. It seems like you live in a great place and I love the pics of your village. Eiain is wonderfully cute, and your mother is lovely. There’s just not one thing about you that isn’t simply great. You are a strong and caring man and I have to say that I feel like an absolute fool whining about my pain when I’ve read about what you have to live through every day. I’m so glad you have Eiain there for you.
I think I would love to visit your home and village - it is beautiful. So since it’s not really possible for me to do that, when I need a little break I will just imagine your pics in my mind and the peacefulness that comes along with that.
Sorry this is so long. I looked for an email address but couldn’t find one. You can email me anytime - the address is on my blog.
Oh yeah, and what are the password protected posts? I had no idea you could do that with a blog. I’m still learning.
